Description

American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with a minimum of 4-5 years of EP experience to perform electrophysiology procedures in a high-volume cath lab setting.

Details

• Works in a 2-room EP lab performing 6-8 cases per day
• Typical cases include AFib, atrial flutter, SVT, VT ablations, permanent pacemaker insertions, ICD & BiV implants, laser lead extractions, and Watchman procedures
• Equipment used includes CardioLab, MicroPace, and Bovie
• Charting is done in Epic/Cupid
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience with a primary EP background
• ARRT and BLS and ACLS certifications required
• High school diploma or equivalent required, along with completion of a 2-year radiology program
• Previous cath lab or special procedures area experience required
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring equipment and EP lab systems
• Must be able to lift and move patients; position is non-sedentary
• Proof of address, full SSN, DOB, 1 supervisory reference, and copy of certifications required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Serves as scrub tech, circulator, or monitor/recorder during EP procedures under the direction of a Cardiologist
• Responsibilities include patient preparation, post-procedure recovery, hemostasis monitoring, vital sign assessment, and EKG monitoring
• Operates and maintains EP lab equipment; selects, assembles, and checks all necessary equipment prior to procedures
• Responds to cardiac arrest and life-threatening arrhythmias with resuscitative efforts
• Assumes charge duties per department policy as needed
• Dysrhythmia exam is not required for this position
• Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
