Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, with EP experience strongly preferred and ARRT certification required.
Details
- 488-bed acute care hospital setting in Mission Viejo, CA
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit with adult patient population
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Weekend shifts will exceed every other weekend
- Variable shifts are scheduled as needed, not on a rotating basis
- On-call required approximately 8 days per month
- May be required to float to a sister facility in Laguna Beach
- Epic EMR; experience required
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Strong panning and circulating experience required, ideally in EP and heart caths
- EP experience strongly preferred
- ARRT certification required; RCIS credentials are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid Fluoroscopy Permit required
- Active CA state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Performs cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, with an emphasis on panning and circulating roles
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility
- RTO must be disclosed and included at the time of initial consideration; requests submitted after the offer stage may be denied
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Scrub color for OR staff is provided by the facility
