Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital recognized as one of America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds, recognized by Healthgrades as one of America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker implantation
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement
- On-call is required
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Free parking available; assignment parking details provided during orientation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Current ARRT certification required; RCIS is not accepted in lieu of ARRT
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending Fluoro permit will be considered provided they have already applied at the time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- All travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- RTO must be approved and submitted at the time of consideration; post-submission RTO requests may be denied
- Orientation is 30 hours
- Block scheduling will be considered
- The facility offers housing assistance resources, including access to a realtor if needed
- Located in Eureka, CA — within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including the famous Redwood Highway
