Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Specialist (Cath Lab / EP Technologist) with expertise in hemodynamics, diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral cardiac catheterization procedures.

- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab setting
- Procedures include cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular angiography, interventional procedures, and device-based procedures
- Specialized equipment includes IVUS, Combo Map, ICE, HeartLab, and standard cath lab radiographic systems
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, school of professional nursing, or completion of a cardiac catheterization training course (transcripts required)
- One of the following certifications required: ARRT (Radiation Therapy or Radiology) or RCIS through CCI
- Two professional references required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Assist physicians with acquiring digital radiographic images of the heart, peripheral vessels, and other structures using appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters
- Perform daily room preparations, QC checks, and procedure room setup, including inventory and supply management
- Collect and document patient data for records, charge entry, and image archiving using systems such as Witt, HeartLab, ICE, and IVUS
- Deliver pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care including sterile field preparation, IV insertion, and drug injection under physician supervision
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on a variety of cath lab equipment
- May serve in a lead worker capacity, including training and education of staff and assigning work to other specialists
- Radiation safety practices are required, including use of distance and appropriate protective attire
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) is required
