Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Lakeway, TX, requiring 2+ years of experience and active ARRT or RCIS certification.

Details

• Work in a cardiac catheterization lab setting in Lakeway, TX
• Procedures include arteriograms, cardiac catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures, and thrombolytic therapy
• IR and EP experience is a plus
• 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Call required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Associate degree required
• Active TX-MRT license required if applicable
• Active ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
• Active BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only) required
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac and vascular principles
• Computer literacy and basic office equipment proficiency required
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate precision and flexibility
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing in and assisting physicians, preparing and maintaining sterile fields, circulating in procedure rooms, and collecting procedural data
• Monitors patient ECG and vital signs throughout procedures and notifies physicians of any variances
• Provides emergency care as needed, including CPR and defibrillation
• Performs pre- and post-procedure patient care, including transport, monitoring, and patient education
• Records and calculates catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis
• Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff
• Maintains procedure room inventory and ensures equipment readiness
• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
