Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Lakeway, TX, requiring 2+ years of experience and active ARRT or RCIS certification.
Details
- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab setting in Lakeway, TX
- Procedures include arteriograms, cardiac catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures, and thrombolytic therapy
- IR and EP experience is a plus
- 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Associate degree required
- Active TX-MRT license required if applicable
- Active ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
- Active BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only) required
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac and vascular principles
- Computer literacy and basic office equipment proficiency required
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate precision and flexibility
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing in and assisting physicians, preparing and maintaining sterile fields, circulating in procedure rooms, and collecting procedural data
- Monitors patient ECG and vital signs throughout procedures and notifies physicians of any variances
- Provides emergency care as needed, including CPR and defibrillation
- Performs pre- and post-procedure patient care, including transport, monitoring, and patient education
- Records and calculates catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis
- Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff
- Maintains procedure room inventory and ensures equipment readiness
- Navy scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
