Description
American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring active RCIS certification and SC licensure, with experience in cath and EP procedures.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with call requirements to be discussed with the manager during the interview
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- May be asked to float to cover Cath/EP and possibly TEE/CVs; TEE/CV coverage would be intra-procedure only and limited to documenting timeout, procedure tracking, and circulating the room
- Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Charting is performed in Cerner
Requirements
- Active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) registration with the SC Board of Medical Examiners required; license required if applicable
- Active RCIS certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Radiologic Technologists (RTs) must also hold active ARRT registration
- Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular science, radiologic technology, or equivalent program meeting CCI and SC Board of Medical Examiners education requirements
- Minimum experience sufficient to obtain required licensure and certifications
- Active SC or compact state license required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Serve as a point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments and act as a patient safety advocate
- Ability to scrub is considered a plus
- First-time travelers are not mentioned as excluded; contact your recruiter for eligibility details
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
