Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac and interventional radiology procedures for a 13-week acute care contract.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
- 2 procedure suites/labs with an average of 6 cases per day
- Patient cases include coronary, interventional radiology (IR), and vascular procedures — no EP cases performed at this location
- Techs scrub, monitor, and circulate cases
- EMR system is Cerner (transitioning to Epic); Merge imaging system also used
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- On-call required Monday–Thursday evenings (5:00 PM–6:30 AM) 1–2 nights per week
- On-call required every 3rd weekend (Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–6:30 AM)
- Holiday call coverage required as needed
- 30-minute call response time required
- Occasional floating to 1:1 sitter coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience with knowledge of cardiac and IR cases
- Scrubbing skills and general/panoramic X-ray knowledge required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference within the last 3 years of relevant experience
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating cases across coronary, IR, and vascular procedures
- Hospital provides light blue scrubs
- Unit-specific orientation begins on day 1 and is to be completed within the first week using an orientation binder
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, which affects the travel pay rate
