Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, including mandatory IABP/Impella competency, for a 13-week travel contract in Charlotte, NC.
Details
- Outpatient interventional cardiac services department within a 337-bed, non-trauma, non-teaching hospital that is a certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
- Patient population includes chest pain, vascular, ablations, and PPM cases
- EMR: Epic; department-specific equipment includes Merge/Hemo
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- Evening call required approximately 1–2 shifts per week
- Weekend call varies, approximately 1–2 weekends per 8-week period
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Cardiac Cath Lab experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS required
- Active license required, if applicable
- IABP and Impella experience are required — candidates without this competency will not be considered
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, sheath pulling, TR band placement/removal, line securement, and EKG/cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes facility-level onboarding (NEO) plus 3–4 days of departmental orientation
- Travelers are expected to cover approximately 75% of holidays
- Navy or green surgical scrubs required; scrubs are provided
- Free parking available on-site
- A clinical interview is required for this position
