Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Trauma Level III teaching hospital in Concord, NC.

Details

• Work in a cardiac catheterization and vascular lab setting within a 457-bed Trauma Level III teaching hospital that is also a Chest Pain/STEMI Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Bariatric Center of Excellence
• Lab includes 12 prep/recovery beds, 2 Cath Lab rooms, 1 Vascular Lab, and 1 EP Lab
• Patient population includes cardiac, STEMI, AFib ablation, device placement, and vascular cases
• Vascular cases include lower extremity angiograms, upper extremity/fistulagrams, interventional cases, PE, DVT, thrombolytics, venograms, fistula creation, carotid angiogram with stent, EVAR, and TAVR
• Cath Lab cases include right and left heart cath with intervention, complex PCI, and pericardiocentesis — primarily radial access with some femoral
• Epic EMR experience is required; additional equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, Merge Hemo, and Siemens X-ray systems
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Call requirements depend on department needs and will be discussed during the interview; callback time is 1 hour for vascular cases and 30 minutes for STEMI
• Weekend rotation based on department needs and discussed during the interview; a dedicated vascular call team is in place
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT or RCIS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

• Orientation includes a new employee orientation (NEO), 2 days of departmental training with Epic training, and 1 day on the unit
