Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, holding an RCIS or RAD certification, for a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- 13-week contract in a cardiac cath lab setting performing invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and EP procedures
- Procedures include structural heart, diagnostic and therapeutic coronary and peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology
- Candidates must be able to scrub and pan for peripheral and diagnostic procedures
- Monday–Friday with a variable start time between 7:00–8:00 AM, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- On-call schedule includes approximately one day per week and one weekend per month
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab and/or EP experience in a U.S. hospital
- RCIS or RAD certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only) required
- Degree in a related field (BA, BS, BSN, or AA) or equivalent experience required
- License required if applicable — active license required; no pending licenses accepted
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Works in a multidisciplinary lab supporting patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures
- Performs both scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization and radiology imaging equipment
- Experience in additional cardiac or vascular specialties beyond core cath lab is a plus
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
