At East Tennessee Children's Hospital, we are leading the way to healthy children through exceptional, comprehensive family-centered care, wellness and education. Our 152-bed hospital is certified by the state of Tennessee as the only Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center in East Tennessee and is accredited by the Joint Commission. East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville is a private, independent, not-for-profit pediatric medical center that has served children since 1937.
Children's Hospital offers a variety of exciting job opportunities in many different areas throughout our pediatric medical center. Our high standards for nursing care have enabled us to establish a strong reputation for clinical excellence. We were recently named one of the safest children’s hospitals by the Solutions for Patient Safety National Network and one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals by The Leapfrog Group.
Company History
For over 75 years, Children's Hospital has been the primary provider of pediatric care in East Tennessee. Throughout our history, Children's Hospital has been the first in the region to offer a number of unique, specialized services to meet the special needs of infants, children and teens. This emphasis on children is what makes Children's Hospital unique among medical centers.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
East Tennessee Children's Hospital was awarded the 2013 Tennessee Nurses Association's Outstanding Employer Award.
The Leapfrog Group added East Tennessee Children's Hospital to its 2013 list of Top Hospitals. We were one of 13 pediatric hospitals honored for setting the highest standards in safety and quality. Out of all the adult and pediatric hospitals nationwide to receive the award in 2013, we were the only hospital in East Tennessee and one of only five in the state.
