Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist (Angio Tech or Cardiovascular Tech) for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment requiring ARRT-R or RCIS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Work setting includes both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab environments
- Procedures include diagnostic catheterizations, cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), with variable days of the week
- Call requirements include 1–2 weeknight late calls per week (5:30 PM–9:00 PM), 1–2 Saturday calls per month, and occasional holiday call (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
- Floating within the facility and across the Legacy Health system is required — refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Mandatory low-census cancellations must be called 1.5 hours before shift start; up to one shift per two-week pay period may be cancelled without cause or penalty
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required
- Candidates must meet one of two qualification pathways: (1) Licensed Radiology Tech with ARRT-R, ACLS, and BLS; or (2) RCIS with ACLS and BLS
- Epic EMR experience required
- Oregon state license required, or proof of OR license application and fingerprints
- 1 charge, supervisor, or manager reference required, preferably from within the last year
- No felony background hits — candidates with background hits must include a traveler statement
- First-time travelers will be considered
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, cardiac cath lab procedures, and proper use of isolation precautions and PPE
- Candidates must not live within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility — local candidates are not accepted
- No RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO total, and all RTO must be submitted upfront at the time of consideration
- Former Legacy Health employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning
- All assigned education modules must be completed within one week of starting the assignment
- Pre-start modules and skills testing are non-billable and average 4–8 hours
- COVID vaccination is required with no exemptions accepted
