Schedule: Full-Time/Night
Shift: 3/12's 7pm-7am including every other weekend

AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrow's cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
The role you'll contribute:
Performs Electroencephalograms (EEGs), Evoked Potentials (EPs) and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) testing.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Conducts long-term monitoring in epilepsy and intensive/critical care units
- Measures neurological responses to external stimuli and traces electrical pathways
- Ability to scan, correlate, and clip studies
- Ability to observe EEG tracings and respond appropriately to seizure activity
- Explains testing procedures to patient and family using age-appropriate guidelines
- Performs studies with appropriate documentation, observes patients, troubleshoots equipment and physiological artifacts, and utilizes appropriate resources
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
- Graduation from an Electroneurodiagnostics school or 2 years of technical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
